De Wachtkamer was a stage and exhibition space for young talent in Eindhoven, which was open from May 9th to May 23rd. A diverse group of artists, musicians, and performers got the opportunity to showcase their work during a two-week program at the central station. De Wachtkamer aimed to provide a platform for young creators in Eindhoven to exhibit their work in an accessible and public space, in addition to bringing different social bubbles together through spontaneous interactions and community building. Secondly,it was also an exploration of the boundaries of public space, and gave purpose to a normally empty location.
In preparation of and during this exhibition, my main roles were that of co-organiser and sound engineer. During the preliminary co-creation sessions I aided where necessary, and helped with graphics and practical organisation of the space. As sound engineer, I was the main responsible person for getting acts set up, soundchecked, and properly mixed during live performances.
